A last cup

Earth Day tomorrow closes a place where I've spent a good deal of time and money for some reason, even though all these years I've garnered a lot of contempt for The Cup & Saucer.

Dang, we'll miss'er, though we've kinda bin missin'er for a while now. The expansion never lived up to the ideal that the original bar side created. Sure had a lot of great features and a few memories that make me feel old.

(Dialect courtesy of my having just finished "The Grapes of Wrath." Holy hell, who saw that ending coming?)

is it bad that i have absolutely no recollection of the ending, other than a vague notion of someone dying?

I was a bit like that after I read Faulkner's The Sound and the Fury. (yes, yes, Faulkner one of the great American novelists etc) I had no idea what anyone was talking about through the whole thing but that awful language was so contagious I started conjugating all my verbs like so: We was sittin' on the fence and then we was sittin' in the grass. We sittin' and then was walkin' was sittin' on the fence.
