Frankly, that's a very attractive bug. What I like most about the praying mantis is that the females eat the males after mating... which makes it exactly like marriage.
they're hardy souls. one rode atop the car 8 miles to work last week. as i was locking the auto it turned and did the hand washing thing, head slightly bowed:
