Curb Girl: what an urban-based accidental journalist accidentally thinks
when she's falling face-first on figurative pavement
Sooooooo... prognosis ?
You don't need a genius to fix a windows machine. Not that they break. Ever.
my spouse spent $300 on calling Dell (India) last year . . .no, no need for genius (just experience doing re-installs 100 times will do it), but you have to beg them to send the OS disc to you : )david, they tried all kinds of things . . . archive install, etc. no dice.ran into victor speers there, though, and gear is nearly converted to iMac : )they made me leave the computer there for further code study. there definitely is something screwed up in the OS b/c of that dang file. creating new user worked, but i want to preserve ME as user / all that junk i need to access. curse my silly soul for not using Time Machine more than once a month.
The fact that a New User worked is really great news.... means no hardware malfunction (MEESHA) just a glitch from a malicious pdf.
