do you remember how long it used to take to look this sort of thing up at a library? (then you're old.) i do, since i'm old enough. i know, i know, what am i doing here instead of sleeping or working?

Seems like it's not the "bad" webworm we think of, but something that indicates one has bad trees. Aren't these things everywhere (in my yard):
